Vulpes Cana Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

The chocolate’s intense cocoa base is lifted by delicate flakes of mineral-rich Kalahari salt, which add a savoury edge and draw out the wine’s deeper layers. Together, they strike a perfect balance between richness and restraint, intensity and nuance.

Named after Vulpes cana or Blanford’s fox. Blanford’s fox is native to the Middle East, including Iran, Israel, Afghanistan, Egypt, and Pakistan.

The Cana Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 from Polkadraai in Stellenbosch is an exciting example of the variety, unlike anything they've had before. With notes of fennel bulb, bright red cherries, plenty of cassis and earth, it speaks of the incredible terroir. The tannins are powdery and intensely flavoured with a super-dry finish.
