Van Loggerenberg ‘Lötter’ Cinsaut 2025

Old-vine Cinsaut taken as seriously as great Syrah or Pinot Noir. Lukas van Loggerenberg makes Lötter from a tiny Franschhoek vineyard planted in 1932, thought to be the second-oldest red wine vineyard still producing in South Africa, with dry-farmed bush vines on granite, sandstone and schist.

The 2025 was fermented 100% whole bunch with indigenous yeasts and aged 10 months in older 500-litre French oak. The result has perfume and delicacy, but also real concentration and structure. One of the most compelling Cinsauts in the country.
