Thornbridge Brewery Lord Marples is the first beer ever brewed by Thornbridge, originally crafted in 2005 at the Hall Brewery. Created as a tribute to traditional British brewing, this classic bitter was chosen as the perfect introduction to the brewery’s style and heritage.
Pouring a rich mahogany colour, it delivers a smooth and balanced profile built on malt character and gentle bitterness. The name honours Mr. Marples, a former owner of Thornbridge Hall, known for fondly using the title “Lord” — a title the brewery decided to officially grant him through this beer.
