The Yamazaki Mizunara 18 Year Old – 2024 Edition

One of the standout releases from Suntory's 2024 Tsukuriwake Collection, matured for at least 18 years entirely in Mizunara, Japan's rare native oak.

Mizunara is famously hard to work with: slow-growing, porous and prone to leaking, and it makes up less than 1% of Suntory's casks. Given long enough, it brings the spice, sandalwood and incense notes it's prized for. Bottled at 48% ABV, this is a rare chance to taste long-aged Mizunara at its most expressive.
