Brewed in the historic city of Kilkenny, Sullivan's Irish Gold Golden Ale is a beautifully balanced golden ale that bridges traditional Irish brewing with classic English ale character. Crafted using Irish Ale, Vienna and lightly roasted Cara malts, then finished with Admiral bittering hops and aromatic First Gold hops, it delivers a refreshing, malt-forward beer with delicate citrus notes and a clean, satisfying finish.
Originally inspired by the golden ales brewed during the 1800s, Irish Gold focuses on drinkability rather than aggressive bitterness. The result is an approachable, sessionable ale that offers subtle complexity without overpowering the palate.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Brilliant golden amber with crystal clarity and a persistent white head.
Nose: Fresh aromas of toasted biscuit, light caramel and honey are complemented by notes of tangerine, apricot and delicate citrus from the First Gold hops.
Palate: Smooth and perfectly balanced. Gentle biscuit malt and light caramel sweetness lead into flavours of toasted bread, apricot and orange zest. A restrained hop bitterness keeps the beer crisp, refreshing and highly sessionable.
Finish: Clean, dry and refreshing with lingering citrus, light malt sweetness and a gentle, earthy hop bitterness.
