Scions of Sinai Atlantikas Bushvines Pinotage 2025 is a fresh, coastal expression of South Africa's signature grape, crafted by acclaimed winemaker Bernhard Bredell from old dry-farmed bush vines in the Lower Helderberg, Stellenbosch. Sourced from three vineyards situated within just five kilometres of False Bay, the cooling Atlantic influence preserves natural acidity and freshness, resulting in a Pinotage that is vibrant, elegant, and wonderfully expressive of its maritime terroir.
Unlike the bold, heavily extracted style traditionally associated with Pinotage, Atlantikas embraces purity and finesse. A portion of the fruit is handled using Blanc de Noir pressing techniques, reducing skin contact to create a lighter, brighter profile. The wine is matured for nine months on its fine lees in a combination of concrete and stainless steel, enhancing texture while allowing the fruit and vineyard character to shine.
The result is a beautifully refined Pinotage bursting with juicy red cherries, wild berries, floral notes, and a subtle mineral edge. Elegant, energetic, and effortlessly drinkable, Atlantikas showcases a modern interpretation of Pinotage that highlights freshness, balance, and a true sense of place.
