Crafted by Donovan Rall, this flagship single-varietal Cinsault blend—sourcing fruit from Darling (90%) and Swartland (10%) old vines—is fermented whole-bunch and aged in a mix of large foudre and older French oak barrels. The 2024 release is acclaimed as Rall’s best yet: vibrant, perfumed, and structured at a restrained 12.5% ABV.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Intensely floral and fruity, with vibrant red raspberry, wild strawberry, rose petals, potpourri, and a subtle sea-breeze nuance.
Palate: Light-to-medium body, delivering succulent red fruit framed by fine, stem-derived tannins, fresh acidity, and elegant earth and spice layers.
Finish: Dry, graceful, and persistent—with a flourish of herbs and coastal brightness that invites the next sip.
Serving Suggestions: Serve chilled (14–16 °C) in a light-bodied red glass. Pairs beautifully with lamb skewers, charcuterie, mushroom dishes, roasted chicken, and Mediterranean-inspired fare.
