Paul Jaboulet Aîné Crozes-Hermitage Domaine de Thalabert 2015 is one of the benchmark wines of the Northern Rhône and is produced from the oldest vineyard in the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, owned by the Jaboulet family since 1834. Crafted exclusively from 100% Syrah, this iconic wine comes from mature vines planted on alluvial terraces of rolled river stones, producing a red of remarkable depth, structure, and ageing potential.

The outstanding 2015 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest ever produced at Domaine de Thalabert. Powerful yet impeccably balanced, it reveals concentrated black fruit layered with savoury olive tapenade, earthy truffle, graphite, and spice. Aged in French oak, the wine combines richness with elegance, supported by silky tannins and vibrant freshness. Critics have praised it as one of the greatest Thalabert releases, capable of ageing gracefully for two decades or more. 

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Intense aromas of blackcurrant, blueberry, violets, Indian spices, graphite, and subtle mocha with hints of black olive and truffle.

Palate: Full-bodied and richly textured with layers of blackberry, black cherry, licorice, olive tapenade, dark chocolate, crushed stone, and pepper, framed by refined tannins and exceptional concentration.

Finish: Long, powerful, and mineral-driven with lingering black fruit, cracked pepper, earthy spice, and remarkable freshness.
