Myburgh Bros ‘Ex Africa’ Muscat d’Alexandrie 2024

Hanepoot, one of South Africa's oldest grapes, made as a crisp, bone-dry table wine. Myburgh Bros see the country's remaining old Muscat d'Alexandrie vineyards as heritage worth preserving.

The 2024 comes from a 27-year-old dry-farmed bush-vine vineyard on Klipdam, next to Joostenberg in south-western Paarl, on clay-rich Malmesbury shale. Hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed, fermented in seasoned barriques and aged nine months on the lees, with minimal intervention. Aromatic, dry and refreshingly different.
