Menabrea Ambrata is an amber-coloured premium lager brewed by the historic Birra Menabrea brewery in Biella, Piedmont — Italy’s oldest continuously operating brewery (est. 1846). The Ambrata expression offers a richer, malt-forward profile compared to the classic Bionda, while still maintaining the crisp drinkability Menabrea is known for. Brewed using Alpine water and a blend of select malts and hops, this amber lager delivers depth, elegance and refined Italian craftsmanship.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Beautiful deep amber with copper highlights and a creamy off-white head.

Nose: Inviting aromas of caramel malt, toasted bread, light toffee and subtle floral hops. Hints of dried fruit and gentle herbal notes add complexity.

Palate: Smooth, medium-bodied and well-rounded. Flavours of caramel, biscuit malt, roasted grain and soft toffee are balanced by mild hop bitterness. A touch of nuttiness and a clean lager crispness keep the beer refreshing despite its richer style.

Finish: Clean, lightly bitter and pleasantly malty with lingering notes of caramel and toasted grain.
