The Le Lude Brut Rosé Réserve Non-Vintage is an elegant traditional-method Cap Classique from specialist sparkling wine producer Le Lude in Franschhoek. Designed as the rosé counterpart to the estate’s Brut Réserve, it combines 65% Chardonnay with 35% Pinot Noir, delivering freshness and finesse alongside delicate red-fruit character.

Fruit is sourced from carefully selected vineyards in Robertson and Franschhoek, while the Pinot Noir component undergoes cold maceration to naturally introduce the wine’s attractive rosé colour and red-fruit character.

Following secondary fermentation in bottle, the wine spends a minimum of 36 months ageing on its lees in Le Lude’s temperature-controlled cellar before disgorgement. This extended maturation contributes texture and complexity while maintaining the bright acidity and freshness central to the Le Lude house style.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Delicate salmon-pink with a fine, persistent stream of bubbles and an elegant mousse.

Nose: Fresh and beautifully expressive, with aromas of raspberry, cranberry and red berry coulis. Delicate floral notes and hints of grapefruit provide additional lift and freshness.

Palate: Lively yet wonderfully textured. Juicy red berries and raspberry are balanced by refreshing citrus and elegant acidity. Chardonnay brings freshness and precision, while Pinot Noir contributes red-fruit character, structure and depth.

Finish: Refined and persistent, with lingering grapefruit, rose petal and subtle spice, complemented by a crisp line of acidity.
