Hubba Bubba Habba Nero from Cape Town’s Afro Caribbean Brewing Company is a fruited sour that clearly didn't get the memo about behaving itself.

One of ACBC’s original sour beers, this latest incarnation comes loaded with mango and habanero, combining big tropical fruit with bright acidity and a subtle chilli kick. At just 3.6% ABV, it’s light, refreshing and ridiculously easy-drinking — but there's more than enough going on to keep things interesting.

Think juicy mango. Tart sour beer. A little chilli warmth. Repeat.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Hazy golden-yellow with a light, lively head.

Nose: Ripe mango and tropical fruit upfront, backed by fresh citrus acidity and a subtle hint of chilli.

Palate: Tart, juicy and refreshing. Sweet, ripe mango provides plenty of tropical character before the sourness kicks in, with habanero bringing a gentle spicy warmth towards the back of the palate rather than setting your mouth on fire.

Finish: Crisp, tangy and fruity with a lingering mango character and a subtle chilli tingle.
