Château de Ferrand Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé 2019

Classic Saint-Émilion with a little extra muscle. Château de Ferrand sits on the limestone plateau of Saint-Hippolyte overlooking the Dordogne, an estate with roots in the 17th century.

The 2019 blends 73% Merlot for plush fruit and a velvety texture with 27% Cabernet Franc for freshness, lift and firm structure. 2019 was an excellent Bordeaux vintage, and the clay-limestone soils kept the vines balanced through a warm summer. Lovely now with roast lamb, and will reward a few more years in the cellar.
