Chamarel 2014 Armagnac – Highveld Aging Series

A limited-edition single-cask rum from Rhumerie de Chamarel in Mauritius, distilled in 2014 from fresh sugarcane juice and finished in an Armagnac cask as part of the Highveld Aging Series.

The series explores what happens when tropical spirits are matured on South Africa's Highveld, more than 1,500 metres above sea level. The Armagnac cask wraps dried fruit, warming spice and mature oak around the rum's vibrant cane character. Bottled at 53.4% ABV: concentrated, complex and best sipped slowly.
