Produced by Cavalli Estate in the heart of the Helderberg, Stellenbosch, the Cavalli Chardonnay 2025 is a benchmark South African Chardonnay that combines precision, elegance, and exceptional fruit purity. Crafted from hand-picked grapes harvested in three separate pickings, the wine undergoes whole-bunch pressing before fermentation in French oak barrels, where a portion ferments naturally. It is matured on its lees for 10 months in French oak, creating a wine of remarkable texture, freshness, and complexity.

The 2025 vintage has received outstanding acclaim, being awarded the Trophy for Best Chardonnay at the 2026 Investec Trophy Wine Show, one of South Africa's most prestigious wine competitions. This accolade recognises Cavalli's unwavering commitment to producing world-class Chardonnay and cements the estate's reputation as one of the country's leading producers.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Bright aromas of lime, orange blossom, nectarine, pineapple, and mango, complemented by subtle vanilla, spice, and buttery brioche.

Palate: A beautifully layered palate of citrus, stone fruit, tropical fruit, and delicate vanilla, supported by a creamy texture from lees ageing and partial malolactic fermentation. Fresh acidity keeps the wine vibrant and balanced.

Finish: Long, elegant, and mineral-driven with lingering citrus, gentle oak spice, and a refined creamy finish.
