A bold, generous red blend that feels like a warm evening in the Winelands. Babylonstoren Babel brings together Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and a touch of Pinotage — all speaking their own “language,” but coming together in one beautifully balanced voice. Babylonstoren's winemakers have aged each component in oak barrels to produce a soft mouth-feel and juicy, lingering finish that will leave you wanting more.
It opens with ripe dark berries, glossy cherries and a hint of plum, followed by whispers of spice, cocoa and a little tobacco from its time in French oak. The palate is full and juicy, with smooth, polished tannins that make it rich yet effortlessly drinkable. Every sip ends with a long, warm finish that lingers in the best way.
It’s the kind of red you pour when the food is hearty and the company is good — perfect with braai smoke, slow-cooked meats or a cosy winter night.
A modern Cape blend with depth, character and serious drinkability.
