Ardbeg Uigeadail

Pronounced 'oog-a-dal': a vatting of Ardbeg's deep, smoky style with raisiny old ex-sherry casks. Named World Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2009, and the Ardbeg Committee's favourite.

Christmas cake, walnut oil, cedar and leather over smouldering smoke. Rich and mouth-coating: sweet, then a burst of winter spice, honey-glazed smoked meats and treacle. Amazingly long, with raisin, mocha and aromatic smoke.
